GWSHP PROJECT UPDATE - 13 AUG 2021

Dear Members,

To keep Members up to date with the progress of the GWSHP Project, we will be sending out ongoing bulletins on different topics regarding the Project.

GYC/OTB/VSS Building: Design & Layout

Planned Usage RGYC/OTB/VSS Building

Since the new RGYC/OTB/VSS Building will be a shared-use facility, we want to provide an overview of which groups can use particular parts of the building at different times. The list below is according to our community joint use proposal with the Victorian Sailing School and yet to be finalised in an agreement, but it gives an overview of how we expect to share the building:

Ground Floor

The following facilities are available for RGYC/OTB 365 Days per year:

Multi Purpose Room, OTB Amenities, Canteen, Sailing Office, Marina Office, First Aid Room, Members Workshop, Marina Workshop, Tea Room, Front Reception Area. Cadet/Opti Lockers, Members Lockers. Outdoor Alfresco Area.
 

The following facility are also available for RGYC/OTB 195 Days per year (Includes:- weekends and all school holidays):

VSS Amenities.
 

The following facilities are available for VSS 365 Days per year:

VSS Workshop, VSS Locker
 

The following facilities are available for VSS 170 Days per year (School hours only, may include overnight stays):

VSS Amenities, First Aid Room. 

First Floor:

The following facilities are available for RGYC/OTB 195 Days per year (Includes:- weekends and all school holidays):

All First Floor, including: Multi Purpose Room, Front Deck, Kitchen, Amenities, Classroom, Bunk Rooms, Staff Bunk Rooms.

The following facilities are available for VSS 170 Days per year (School hours only, may include overnight stays):

All First Floor, including: Multi Purpose Room, Front Deck, Kitchen, Amenities, Classroom, Bunk Rooms, Staff Bunk Rooms.

Second Floor:

The following facilities are available for RGYC/OTB 365 Days per year:

Radio Room / Lounge, Members Deck.

The following facilities are also available for RGYC/OTB 195 Days per year (Includes:- weekends and all school holidays):

VSS Manager’s Office.

The following facilities are available for VSS 170 Days per year. (School hours only):
